Two abandoned homes on the same road went up in flames in less than two hours early Sunday in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Bradford Firefighters were called to the first fire on Line 11 at 4:48 a.m. and received assistance from several neighbouring departments, working in the frigid cold.

As they were battling that blaze, a call came in at 6:22 a.m. to the second fire just down the road.

"BWG Fire working hard with New Tecumseth, Innisfil and King at 2 structure fires on BWG Line 11," Bradford Fire tweeted.

Six tankers supplied water to the scenes.

No one was hurt and the cause of both fires is under investigation.
