A popular Canadian dish is being celebrated this July with a local franchise helping to make Barrie a stop along the way.

The Smoke’s Poutinerie Rock N’ Roll Gravy Train is heading out on a 36-day, coast-to-coast tour from June 23 until July 28 and stops in Barrie on Tuesday, July 12 at the Smoke’s location in downtown Barrie at 24A Dunlop St. W.

Dubbed the Smoke’s Poutinerie World Famous Great Canadian Cross Country Plaid Gravy Train Fries Curd & Gravy Weird Wild and Wacky Poutine Eating Tour 2022, the event will have an unlimited  supply of poutine as a way to thank customers across Canada.

There will also be curd-sampling stations (in co-operation the Dairy Farmers of Canada), entertainment, giveaways, and challenges.

Ontario stops will feature a variety of experiences such as free snack-size traditional poutine giveaways in select locations.
