The City of Barrie’s Building Department staff have been working diligently to ensure the city’s newest secondary school receives an occupancy permit so the school can open and welcome students this school year.
Maple Ridge Secondary School is located at 225 Prince William Way in southeast Barrie.
The city has now received all information that is required under the Ontario Building Code and has issued the occupancy permit for the school.
Permits are required by law and ensure that construction meets the minimum life and fire safety requirements contained within the Building Code.
