The city’s 2025 Waste Collection Calendar is now available for pickup at city facilities and a digital version can be viewed at barrie.ca/calendar.
The calendar will be mailed with Canada Post to all Barrie households in the coming weeks. If you would like to pick up a copy before then you can visit the following locations:
- Service Barrie, first floor of city hall, 70 Collier St.
- Allandale Recreation Centre, 190 Bayview Dr.
- East Bayfield Community Centre, 80 Livingstone St. E.
- Parkview Centre, 189 Blake St.
- Peggy Hill Team Community Centre, 171 Mapleton Ave.
- Barrie Public Library, downtown branch, 60 Worsley St.
- Barrie Landfill & Environmental Centre, 272 Ferndale Dr. N.
The Waste Collection Calendar includes details on the next phase of changes coming to curbside collection. On Sept. 8, 2025, the city will roll out automated cart collection for organics and garbage. The calendar includes information about cart delivery dates, sizes, and how to store and set out your carts when collection starts next fall.
Starting Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, carts will be on display at the above locations, along with the Barrie Public Library, Painswick branch, at 48 Dean Ave.
