Emergency crews responded to an industrial fire at Superior Propane on Bayview Drive in Barrie's south end, Friday afternoon.
The fire, which is embedded above from Facebook, was captured on video by Garry Diceman.
Businesses are being evacuated on Saunders and Lockhart roads.
Emergency officials have cleared a one-kilometre area around Superior Propane at Bayview Drive and Lockhart Road.
The evacuation was called to follow the city's response plan for the industrial fire.
Deputy Fire Chief Carrie Clark was unable to say the extent of the damage, but did confirm there were no injuries.
The call came in around 2 p.m., and Barrie firefighters were continuing to cool down the propane tanks with water around 3:30 p.m.
Two Barrie Transit buses have been brought to the scene to assist with the evacuation.
