A 34-year-old Barrie man has been arrested after passersby felt it odd he was taking at nap in his vehicle at the closed drive through speaker.

Barrie Police Service was called to Burger King located at 320 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie, after a call came in that a male was passed out in the drivers seat of a car, with the car still in drive.

It took quite a while for officers to raise the male and when asked what he was doing he confirmed he was waiting to order.

The male was arrested and taken back to Barrie Police Service to provide further breath samples where he blew double the legal limit.

Once sober, the accused was released with a court date at the end of May to answer to his Impaired Care and Control charge.

His licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for a week.
