Update: 7:12 a.m

South Simcoe Police say 6th Line has been reopened following a fire at a residential construction site in Bradford. 

No injuries reported.

Bradford Fire and South Simcoe Police are at the scene of a large fire on Line 6 in Bradford.

Police say nearby homes have been evacuated as a precaution. 

The fire broke out around 5 a.m.

New Tecumseth Fire Chief reports that multiple residential structures under construction were burning.

Bradford Fire received mutual aid from East Gwillimbury, Innisfil and New Tecumseth fire services.

As of 6:50 a.m., crews had the fire contained, according to New Tecumseth Fire. 

Line 6 is closed from Adams to Simcoe Road.
