Fowl conditions heat up as winner survives wing-eating contest

Contest at Kelseys Original Roadhouse on Bayfield Street consisted of five rounds of progressively hotter wings

Contestants felt the heat of spicy hot sauce during the chicken wing eating contest at Kelseys Original Roadhouse on Bayfield Street in Barrie on Wednesday.

The contest on Jan. 10 consisted of five rounds of progressively hotter wings.

Marco, the winner who hails from Barrie, received free wings for a year when he beat the runner-up after an extra round playoff to determine the champion.
