The IOOF Seniors Homes May 50/50 raffle is launching May 1 to raise essential funds for their redevelopment campaign to expand the long-term care facility at 10 Brooks St., Barrie.
The 50/50 raffle launches Wednesday, May 1, 2024, tickets will be available for purchase with new pricing for increased odds to win — 10 tickets for $10; 40 tickets for $20; 150 tickets for $50; 400 tickets for $100. Ticket purchases open on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, and the grand-prize draw will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024. Sales will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
Purchasers will have an opportunity to win a $500 early-bird prize generously sponsored by Home Care Assistance Barrie Simcoe County. The early-bird winner will be drawn on Friday, May 17, 2024.
“Our team at Home Care Assistance is thrilled to be partnering with the IOOF through the 50/50 raffle. We have a shared goal of providing compassionate care for seniors and are pleased to be able to support the IOOF’s efforts to offer more long-term care bed options for our community,” said Lynn Smith (RN), client care manager, Home Care Assistance Barrie Simcoe County.
Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle support the redevelopment project to build long-term care beds and grow the IOOF Seniors Homes facility. The project will create 64 new long-term care beds and 66 upgraded beds, with modern spaces, updated equipment, private rooms, and increased square footage. When completed, the long-term care home will be a 226-bed facility.
