Dino Sangiuliano knows how to attract attention.
His Violet Street home is decorated with thousands of lights, delighting friends, neighbours and strangers from other parts of Barrie and Simcoe County.
"We have been here at least five times this year and we will be back on Christmas Eve," said Marla Chambers, an Essa Township resident who was photographing the amazing light show with her two young sons.
"It is amazing ... the best show we have found, and we love Christmas lights."
A steady stream of vehicles slowly passes the house, vying for a prime spot to stop and gawk for a few minutes.
From the toy soldiers guarding the driveway, to the huge lighted tree and colourful arches, this display of 20,000-plus LED lights is all synchronized to Christmas music that can be heard on 92.7 FM.
Spectators are also invited to visit northernliteshow.com to learn more about the display, leave comments and make a donation to Make A Wish Canada Foundation. So far this year, Sangiuliano has raised over $750.
They can also vote for their favourite tunes on the website.
It's the 9th year that Sangiuliano has put on a festive light show, and its a passion that requires year-round attention "to get it just right."
"As you can tell, I love Christmas," he says.
The lights are on at 123 Violet Street daily from 5:30 to 11 p.m.
