A cooking fire on Livingstone Road East sent two people to RVH with minor injuries, according to Barrie Fire and Emergency Service.

Firefighters were called to the home around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

They tweeted 'If a pan catches on fire put a lid on it.'

Two hours earlier, firefighters responded to a chimney fire at a home on Penetanguishene Road.

No injuries reported there but firefighters say it's a good reminder to have your fireplace inspected and cleaned by a certified professional.

Barrie Fire investigators were looking into the cause.
