Noah Cyrus, Jesse Cook sizzle amid heat at Mariposa (16 photos)

Tudhope Park was rocking Saturday night during second day of popular three-day Mariposa Folk Festival that has attracted thousands to Orillia

The music stars shone and thousands of fans sizzled under a bright sun amid soaring temperatures on Saturday — the second day of the three-day 2024 Mariposa Folk Festival.

The event opened Friday night under dark skies and a bit of rain. (Check out our story about that and peruse a photo gallery from Day 1)

More than 60 artists are performing this weekend at the various stages scattered throughout picturesque Tudhope Park on the shore of Lake Couchiching. This is the third consecutive year the event has been sold out.

This evening, on the Lightfoot main stage, Donovan Woods, Bruce Cockburn, Old Crow Medicine Show, Kim Churchill, and Dwayne Gretzky are among the performers closing out the festival.

And, in what is sure to be a memorable moment, Cockburn will be inducted into the Mariposa Hall of Fame.

There are also unique workshops, lots of food choices, an artisans village, and much more throughout the afternoon and evening of the final day of what's known as the 'grand old dame' of folk festivals.
