ORO-MEDONTE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Oro-Medonte Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Oro World’s Fair and local businesses to present the Mystical Lights drive-through, a magical Christmas light experience at the Oro Fairgrounds.
Beginning on Dec. 3 and running until Jan. 2, Mystical Lights features more than a dozen light displays presented in a drive-through format from local businesses.
Additional displays from the Oro-Medonte Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and the Oro World’s Fair, such as Frosty’s Tunnel, will augment those contributions.
“This event was conceived by our executive director, Sylvia Stark, as a way to give back and say thank you to the community for supporting our local businesses for the last two years,” says Chamber president Greg Groen. “It is going to be an outstanding event; a lot of hard work has gone into it by Sylvia and other members of our team.”
This is the second partnership between the chamber of commerce and the World’s Fair in Oro-Medonte, with the first being this summer’s launch of the Oro-Medonte Farmers' Market.
For this event, the two organizations will be collecting donations of non-perishable food, pet food and toys, with the Oro-Medonte Lions Club helping the other organizations to distribute these items to the community.
Mystical Lights runs 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., three days a week for most of the month, and for a full week from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2. More information, dates and tickets are available at the Oro-Medonte Chamber of Commerce website at www.oromedontecc.com.
