Traffic delays could be in store early next week on Bayfield Street in Barrie's north end.
Fowler Construction and its sub-contractors working for the Ministry of Transportation require a partial road closure on Bayfield Street between Rose Street and Coulter Street tentatively from Monday, Oct. 24 until Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The city says the partial road closure is needed to complete sidewalk repairs on the Bayfield Street bridge over Highway 400.
The roadway will remain open to traffic and emergency vehicles.
Only one lane will be closed to maintain traffic access during the six-hour window each day and all lanes will be open during commuting hours in morning and afternoon, according to the city.
