Police seek to identify suspect after barefoot bootie theft

On Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 police received a report of a theft that had occurred just before 7 p.m., at Addition Elle located at 468 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie.

A barefoot female entered the store and selected a pair of black leather booties. Prior to leaving the store she was confronted by an employee.

In an [alleged] attempt to mislead the employee, the female stated she had bought them a week ago and then returned to the shoe department, and within in minutes fled the store. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as;

  • Female, white
  • Heavy build, 5’3”
  • Blond multi-coloured hair pulled back into a pony tail
  • Wearing a grey sweater and pajama pants
