Rod Jackson is no longer the CEO of the Barrie Chamber of Commerce.
The former politician left the post last week according to Chamber First Vice President Patricia Dent.
"He left the Chamber to go back to running his own business," Dent told BarrieToday.
"We wish him well."
Dent says the Chamber will be putting out a news release on Jackson's departure tomorrow.
BarrieToday is trying to reach Jackson for comment.
