The Innisfil ideaLAB and Library is pleased to present a roster of talented authors to speak in an engaging, entertaining, and enlightening Spring Author Series. The launch of this spring series is Saturday, March 25, an exciting opportunity for the community to interact and connect with notable writers.
Gail Sweeney - Saturday, March 25, 3 p.m., Lakeshore Branch
Gail Sweeney has been a home baker for 25 years, distributing her baked goods to specialty markets, boutique stores, catering clients, restaurants, and, of course, her family and friends.
Professionally, she works as a child psychologist, supporting children, adolescents and their families through stressful life events. This is why Gail's love for baking stems from the happiness it brings to others. Join us for this in-person Author Talk to explore the mysteries of cookbook creation with Gail as she describes the path to her forthcoming cookbook, Let's Bake. Registration is required for this free all ages event.
Jessica Hamilton – Saturday, April 11, 6:30 p.m., Lakeshore Branch
Jessica Hamilton was born in Australia but grew up in Canada. She has lived and worked in the Czech Republic, Taiwan, India and Japan. She studied writing at the Humber School for Writers as well as George Brown College. She lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband, son, and daughter. Her debut novel is titled What You Never Knew, and her soon to be released second novel titled, Don’t You Dare, are both thrillers and published by Crooked Lane Books. Registration is required for this free 18-plus event.
Catherine Hernandez - Tuesday, May 16, 6 p.m., via Zoom
Catherine Hernandez is a Canadian writer, author, and playwright. She is the author of several books, including the novels Scarborough and Crosshairs and the children's books I Promise, M is for Mustache and Where Do Your Feelings Live?. Catherine's third novel, The Story of Us, was released Feb. 28, 2023. Registration is required for this free 18-plus event.
