This holiday season, show your support for downtown Barrie businesses while enjoying two hours of free on-street parking in December.

The City of Barrie offers this annual initiative to encourage residents and visitors to explore the vibrant shops, restaurants, and services in our community.

“This is a wonderful time of year to celebrate and support our local businesses,” says Mayor Alex Nuttall. “With two hours of free on-street parking, we hope to make it easier for residents and visitors to experience all that downtown Barrie has to offer during the holidays.”

Downtown on-street parking is limited to a two-hour maximum year-round. All downtown parking options are free after 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, all day on weekends, and on statutory holidays.

Standard parking fees remain in effect for municipal lots and the Collier Street Parkade.
