Based on water sample results from Monday, Aug. 8, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) has recommended that a swim advisory be posted for Centennial Park Beach.

Staff have posted advisory signs at Centennial Beach and have resampled the beach today. We will share an update on the advisory once we hear from the SMDHU.

The SMDHU has also recommended that the swim advisory for Minet’s Point Beach be lifted. The bacteriological results from samples taken on Monday, Aug. 8 at Minet’s Point Beach are within the acceptable range for recreational water use.
