Taxi ride, multiple purchases charged to stolen credit cards to the tune of $1,400

Barrie Police are looking for the public's assistance after a taxi ride and multiple purchases were charged to stolen credit cards and a female was captured on video surveillance using the cards. 

Overnight between Tuesday, Aug. 7 and Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 a vehicle was entered in the area of Chippawa Court in the City of Barrie. 

Various items were stolen, including over $500 worth of earphones, a duffel bag with personal items as well as the owner's financial cards. 

Two of these credit cards were used various times before the owner was made aware, exceeding $1,400 in fraudulent purchases.

Description:

  • Female, white
  • Long brown hair
  • Approximately 5'2, slim build
  • Wearing a black zip up sweater with white strings and black and white checkered pajama pants
