Teen found unresponsive in swimming pool

The girl was airlifted to a Toronto hospital.

A teenager was airlifted to a Toronto hospital in critical condition after nearly drowning in a pool.

According to a media release sent by OPP, a 14-year old girl was found unresponsive in a residential swimming pool in Clearview Township on August 2.

Huronia West OPP, the Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to the 911 call.

The girl was taken to a local hospital before she was airlifted to Toronto.

Constable Gilles Doiron said there was no update available on her condition as of August 3 at 12:30 p.m. Police say no foul play is suspected.
