Baycats coming home with 2-0 series lead in IBL final

Cesar Rosado struck out 11 over six shutout – and sometimes dicey – innings in Barrie’s 3-0 win at Guelph in Game 2 of the best-of-seven IBL final.

Rosado scattered three hits and avoided being hurt by 10 walks. Brad Grieveson locked up the save by striking out three over two innings.

Barrie scored all of its runs in the fifth inning. Canice Ejoh and Brandon Hernandez each drove in a run. The other was unearned. Barrie had three total hits.

Andy Leader, Frankin Torres, Garrett Takamatsu, Ethan Hammond and Carson Burns had Guelph’s hits. Jacob Kush allowed two earned runs in 5.1 innings. He walked four and fanned five.

Barrie improved to 8-0 in the playoffs and hosts Game 3 on Thursday at 7:35 p.m.
