WELLAND — For the second night in a row the Barrie Baycats defeat the Welland Jackfish.

On Friday in Welland, the Baycats belted out 12 hits en route to a 6-0 win.

Hayden Jaco, Nolan Machibroda, and Brandon Nicholson each hit doubles to lead the way.

Jonah Weisner had the only two hits for the Jackfish.

Cesar Rosado earned the win on the mound striking out 10 batters.Enrique Saldana took the loss.

The Baycats, now 23-11 visit the Brantford Red Sox Saturday at 2 p.m. The Jackfish drop to 25-9 and host the London Majors on Saturday at 6:05 p.m.

Majors defeat Cardinals in extra innings

HAMILTON — The London Majors scored three times in the 10th inning to give them a 6-5 win over the Hamilton Cardinals on the road.

Eduardo De Oleo singled to right field to score Kaiden Cardoso and Eduardo De Oleo, before Champ Garner scored.

De Oleo was the offensive catalyst with four hits and an RBI.

Victor Payano won on the mound, while Connor Cory took the loss.

Now 19-12 the Majors visit the Welland Jackfish Saturday at 6:05 p.m. The Cardinals drop to 15-20 and host the Brantford Red Sox Sunday at 2:05 p.m.

Barnstormers defeat Red Sox

BRANTFORD — Sadler Goodwin had the hot stick, leading the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers to a 5-2 win over the Brantford Red Sox on the road Friday.

Goodwin hit a home run and had a pair of RBI to lead the offence. Dan Battel had three hits, including a double for the Barnstormers.

Mike Dorcean had a pair of hits for the Red Sox.

Brock Whitson got the win on the mound, while Josh Laukkanen took the loss.

The Barnstormers are 16-18-1 and host the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Red Sox drop to 10-23 and host the Barrie Baycats Saturday at 2 p.m.
