The city’s family-friendly live pro wrestling company will close out their ninth year with a doubleheader festive bang!
Barrie Wrestling returns to 49 Ferris Lane on Saturday, Dec. 9 for two shows, one in support of a local charitable organization.
Holiday Slam for Christmas Cheer takes place at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Entry is free with a monetary donation being appreciated.
Pop and chips will be available for purchase.
Barrie Wrestling will then clear the venue and get ready for It’s A Wrestleful Life, where doors open at 4:30 p.m. and bell time at 5 p.m.
Domino’s pizza, pop and chips will be available for purchase.
The 5 p.m. show will feature seven matches, which include three championship matches and a Jingle All The Way match, where anything goes. That match will feature the 400 North Tag Team Champions, Puf and Pretty Ricky, facing two of four members of the hated Royal Family.
The longest-reigning Three Pistols Champion, Myung Jae Lee, will defend his title in a triple-threat match against hometown hero Van Landon and BW Original, Vaughn Vertigo. Also in action will be Women’s Champion Shilo, Alexia Nicole, Gabriel Fuerza and the returning Matt Burns.
The annual Barrie Wrestling awards will also begin their voting process.
As are all Barrie Wrestling shows, both will be filmed for international streaming service, IWTV.

Barrie Wrestling has run monthly shows in the city since November 2014 and is part if the Downtown Barrie Canada Day weekend event as well as the annual Kempenfest festivities.
