Barrie Colts forward Tyson Foerster has made massive gains in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings ahead of the 2020 draft.

A three-point night in Jan. 16's Top Prospects Game didn't hurt.

The Ontario Hockey League has announced that 57 of its players have been included in the NHL draft rankings, with Foerster jumping from No. 41 among North American skaters in January's mid-term rankings to No. 21 this week.

Foerster, a second-year winger who hails from Alliston, had 36 goals and 44 assists for 80 points in 62 games when the season came to a halt due to COVID-19 concerns.

Evan Vierling and Ethan Cardwell, both of whom were acquired by Barrie at the OHL deadline, are also ranked.

Vierling, a 17-year-old centre from Aurora, is ranked 66th among North American skaters. He had 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points in 28 games since coming over from Flint in a deal for Tyler Tucker and Riley Piercey.

Cardwell, a 17-year-old Courtice native, falls in at No. 67. The right-winger had 11 goals and 15 assists in 26 games after coming over from Saginaw in the Ryan Suzuki deal.

OHL players account for five of the top 10 ranked North American skaters, as well as the top-ranked goaltender on the list in Guelph Storm netminder Nico Daws. Former OHL rookie of the year Quinton Byfield of the Sudbury Wolves leads the OHL as the second-ranked skater on the list followed by fellow Canadian national junior team gold medalist Jamie Drysdale of the Erie Otters in third. Saginaw Spirit forward Cole Perfetti sits fifth on the list followed by Ottawa 67's teammates in OHL scoring champion Marco Rossi and 52-goal scorer Jack Quinn in sixth and seventh, respectively.

The NHL Draft will be held June 25-26 in Montreal.
