Barrie is about to get its first state-of-the-art indoor pickleball facility with the highly anticipated opening of Pickleplex at 521 Bayfield St., Unit 4, located in the former Sears location at Georgian Mall.
This seven-court venue is designed to cater to players of all skill levels, providing a top-tier pickleball experience for the community.
Pickleplex is set to open later this year with a grand-opening announcement to come. Once in operation, Pickleplex will be open daily, offering a range of services including court rentals, social leagues, coaching, open play time, and bookable event rooms for tournaments, and corporate or private events.
With the growing popularity of pickleball, the facility is set to become a local hotspot for recreational and competitive play.
Barrie’s newest sport facility will boast professional-grade courts featuring industry-leading surfaces and indirect lighting, ensuring the best playing conditions for participants. Attention to detail extends to the air and temperature control, which will provide a comfortable play environment year-round.

The Pickleplex team extensively researched leading pickleball venues across North America to bring Barrie a first-class space.
Co-founder and president Steven Fry is a Barrie native who is excited to bring his passion for pickleball to his hometown.
