Another game between the Barrie Colts and Sudbury Wolves has been postponed due to Ontario Hockey League COVID-19 protocols affecting the Wolves.

The OHL announced the postponement shortly before 5 p.m., Wednesday.

The Colts were set to host the Wolves on Thursday night at Sadlon Arena.

In an OHL news release, the league and the Wolves organization said they would not be commenting on the situation. The league says will provide an update on the matter as information becomes available.

A rescheduled date for the Dec. 16 game was not announced.

One week today, on Dec. 8, the OHL said the Wolves had been cleared to resume their regular-season schedule following a COVID outbreak that affected 12 players. Five games had to be rescheduled.

The Sudbury players had tested positive for the virus following a Nov. 27 game against the Barrie Colts. On Nov. 30, the OHL said it had suspended all team activities related to the Wolves.

At that time, the league said all players affected were asymptomatic or exhibiting mild symptoms, and that their conditions were being monitored.

All Barrie Colts players and staff were tested following that game and results came back negative, according to the league.
