Today marks the official opening of global flexible workspace giant Regus’ first location in Barrie, Ontario.
The new shared workspace and coworking facility is located at 49 High St., surrounded by the trendy shops, businesses and restaurants that line Barrie’s central neighbourhood, and just steps from Heritage Park and the city’s picturesque waterfront — which is currently undergoing a $27M redevelopment. The workspace is situated in a revitalized industrial building, adding a modern touch to a mid-century structure. Members of Regus Downtown Barrie will enjoy contemporary design and décor, high-speed Wi-Fi, virtual office services upon request, ample parking, and immediate access to public transit.
“Barrie is a business-minded city that’s experiencing rapid growth — and it’s a market we know we must expand into as we continue to grow our network of flexible workspaces,” says Wayne Berger, CEO, IWG Canada and Latin America (IWG owns Regus). “As a regional transit hub with a highly educated workforce, it’s no surprise that this affordable city is a popular destination for growing companies, young families, and technology startups. Now, instead of professionals spending time setting up their own office or commuting out of town, they can focus on what they do best — growing their business.”
Regus has an expansive network of flexible workspaces around the world and throughout Canada. The Barrie location represents the global workspace provider’s 104th facility in Canada, and 39th city in Canada.
