Arrest made in animal theft, four kittens still missing

On Saturday, July 8, 2017, Investigators arrested and charged a 21-year-old Innisfil man following a break and enter at Doogans Pet Emporium on Sunday, June 25, 2017, just after 3:15 a.m.

Video surveillance captured the suspect forcibly entering the pet store through the front door and walking directly to the back of the store, where he removed a puppy and four kittens from their cages.

The 9-week-old Cockapoo had been recovered by police the following day after receiving numerous tips. The four kittens have not been located, and police are still encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

The 21-year-old Innisfil man has been charged with Break and Enter, and will appear in a Barrie Court of Justice on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017.
