INNISFIL - On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to an Innisfil home for a report of an assault that had occurred earlier.
A 17-year-old girl reported that she was the victim of an assault by another 17-year-old girl on Tuesday, March 27 at 1:30 a.m. Both teens are known to each other.
According to the victim, she agreed to a consensual fight. The other combatant attended with a weapon which the victim was unaware of. As a result of the weapon being introduced, a criminal charge was laid.
The victim required treatment in hospital for non-life threatening injuries. She contacted police when she returned home from hospital.
A 17-year-old Innisfil girl is charged with Assault with a Weapon and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
