A 27-year-old Barrie man has been charged after police say his motorcycle collided with a Hyundai SUV on Highway 400 Monday.
Provincial police say the crash snarled traffic for scores of drivers heading southbound following the Labour Day weekend.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers, along with Tay Township Fire Service and County of Simcoe Paramedics, responded to the scene, north of Quarry Road, at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 2.
An investigation resulted in a charge of careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act to the man driving a 2022 Triumph motorcycle, police say. He had a female passenger aboard at the time of the crash with the SUV.
The motorcycle riders were triaged and transported by paramedics to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The occupants of the SUV were not hurt.
