Barrie man charged following robbery investigation

On Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at approximately 7 a.m., police were called to the Scotiabank located at 44 Collier St. in the City of Barrie after reports of a robbery.  The victim advised a single male suspect approached him from behind, threatening him and demanding money. The suspect left on foot in an unknown direction with a quantity of cash. The victim was not physically hurt during the incident.

Shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2017 detectives arrested a 45-year-old Barrie male believed to be responsible for the robbery. The male will attend court early next month to answer to the charge of robbery with theft.
