Bryan Johnson, 43, has been arrested by Barrie police in relation to several sexual offences.

A month-long investigation by Barrie police has resulted in the arrest of a 43-year-old Barrie man in connection to multiple sexual assaults.

Police say Bryan Johnson became the subject of an investigation in August and was arrested Sept. 24, which resulted in several criminal charges being laid, including sexual offences.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and remains in custody awaiting a future court date.

Police say Johnson “regularly attends the downtown area of Barrie” and that investigators are concerned that more female victims may have had similar experiences.

They are urging anyone with information to contact Det.-Const. Wright or Det.-Const. Trollope at 705-725-7025, at ext. 2170 and 2646.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at www.p3tips.com.

Police say no further details related to the investigation can be released due to a court-imposed publication ban.
