Barrie police investigating theft

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a woman following a theft that occurred on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

The theft had been captured on video surveillance from Zehrs Market, located at 607 Cundles Road East, in the City of Barrie. The presence of the woman quickly caught the attention of security as a result of her evading security following two previous thefts.

The woman had been observed at 4:30 p.m. entering the store and selecting various items and placing them into a bag. Upon exiting the store without making any attempt to pay for the items she was stopped by security. The woman refused to cooperate and fled the area on foot.

The investigation is ongoing.

Suspect is described as;

  • Female, black
  • Black hair – long
  • Wearing a jean jacket, black pants and carrying several bags.
