Provincial police arrested a woman in Thornbury earlier this week after she allegedly threatened to kill her former partner.

Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP say a complaint was made about the woman's threats and also alleged she was driving to a residence in Grey County where her ex-partner lived.

Officers located her driving on Highway 26 and stopped her near Thornbury where they arrested her "without incident."

The 29-year-old woman from The Blue Mountains is now facing charges related to the threats, as well as for impaired driving and failing to meet her bail conditions.

Police say the woman was "on bail for offences related to the same victim."

The woman's charges include impaired driving, refusing/failing to provide a breath sample, three counts of uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and eight counts of failing to comply with bail.

The name of the accused is not being released by police in order to protect the identity of the victim.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.
