A three-wheeled motorcycle was all but demolished following a crash on Dunlop Street West and Highway 400's southbound exit on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024.

Barrie police say charges are pending against the driver of a car involved in a Sunday afternoon crash at Dunlop Street West and Highway 400 that sent two people to hospital.

The collision, involving a three-wheeled motorcycle (trike) and another vehicle, took place around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 as they exited from southbound Highway 400 onto Dunlop Street West.

The driver and passenger of the trike were both taken by ambulance to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre with serious injuries, said Peter Leon, the Barrie police department’s communications co-ordinator.

The driver was then transported to a Toronto trauma centre, he added.

Police are asking anyone who may have dash-cam video of the collision, or who may have witnessed the incident, to email [email protected].
