Both sides of Highway 11 in the area of Line 11 in Oro-Medonte are expected to be closed for much of the day today.
Earlier this morning, the driver of a transport truck lost control of the vehicle and broke through the centre guide rail north of Barrie, according to OPP.
The truck landed in the southbound ditch. The driver sustained only minor injuries.
There was major damage, however, to the highway.
The OPP says the highway is expected to be closed "all day" due to guide-rail replacement efforts. They suggest you find alternative routes.
Morning commuters experienced delays on Thursday due to the crash. Traffic was being diverted at Line 12.
