INNISFIL - On Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, around 8 p.m., South Simcoe Police received a call from a concerned citizen about a vehicle swerving all over the road.
Police located the vehicle on Yonge Street south of Stroud where the vehicle was stopped. While the officer was speaking to the male driver, he noted a smell of alcohol on the driver's breath and signs of impairment.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the station for breath tests.
A 26-year-old Barrie man was charged with impaired driving, drive over 80 mgs. His driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
Police remind all motorists that if you suspect an impaired driver, please call 9-1-1 and report it.
