Part of Hume Street in Collingwood was closed for more than five hours on Thursday for an investigation into a two-vehicle crash involving a police cruiser.
The crash occurred at about 2:45 p.m. May 30 at the intersection of Peel and Hume streets. The road was closed until about 10 p.m.
In a news release this morning, Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP stated the officer in the marked cruiser was en route to a call for service when the collision occurred.
The officer and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries and later released.
They were the lone occupants in each of their vehicles.
The investigation is ongoing.
