A Barrie man is facing impaired driving charges following a crash Wednesday on Pine Drive in the city's south end.
Barrie police responded shortly after 11 a.m. to the report of a vehicle having collided with a parked car. Police said the driver responsible left the scene and continued on to an address on Spruce Crescent.
The suspect was located and taken to Barrie police headquarters, where a breathalyzer determined he had nearly four times the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
The 49-year-old man has been charged with impaired operation, operation over 80 milligrams and driving without a licence. He has an April 19 court date in Barrie.
