Police are looking to identify two suspects responsible for a theft that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Canada Computers, located at 510 Bryne Dr., in the City of Barrie.
A male had attempted to return an item without a receipt, and therefore the return was denied. The male and the accompanying female took a walk throughout the store, but only to have their antics caught on video surveillance.
The male had been caught removing CPU liquid cooler from a box and placing the item into the stroller that had been occupied by a young child, and pushed by his counterpart. Following their brief walk throughout the store, which including the male carrying an empty box for "effect"; the woman left with the concealed product. Minutes later, the male exited the store, but leaving the empty box behind.
Witnesses believe the suspects fled the area in a red/burgundy Ford Escape SUV.
The investigation is ongoing.
The suspects are described as;
Suspect # 1
- Male, white (25-30 yrs.)
- Heavy build
- Blond hair- long at the top and shaved at the sides
- Black goatee
- Forearm tattoos
- Wearing Rx glasses, black t-shirt (Mickey Mouse) logo and black pants.
Suspect # 2
- Female, white (25-30 yrs.)
- Medium build
- Dark blond hair- pulled back into a ponytail
- Wearing Rx glasses, grey sweater and pants, carrying a white purse and pushing a stroller.
