Driver stopped for speeding found to have 50 previous driving convictions

The Innisfil man was issued three driving-related charges during the traffic stop

A motorist was stopped just before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 while driving eastbound on Innisfil Beach Road. A South Simcoe Police Service traffic officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area and determined the driver was speeding.

During the traffic stop, the officer determined that the driver was suspended from operating a motor vehicle due to unpaid family support. The driver also received three offence notices for other driving related infractions. The 54-year-old Innisfil male made arrangements for the vehicle to be removed by a friend.

The driver has 50 previous driving convictions.
