Benjamin Buda, a federal offender who was being sought on a Canada-wide warrant by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad and was known to frequent Barrie, has been arrested.
Buda was arrested in Ottawa after police initially issued the Canada-wide warrant on July 10.
Buda is serving a two-year, two-month, and eight-day sentence for possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition and possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order.
