10:19 a.m. update
South Simcoe Police say a pickup truck drove head on into a flat bed carrying a full load of lumber. A 58-year-old Innisfil man in the pickup truck was airlifted to a Toronto Trauma Centre by Ornge.
Const. Rich Williamson says it appears the pickup veered into the oncoming lumber truck.
The road will be closed until this afternoon.
8:10 a.m. update
Please be advised that Hwy 27 between Hwy 9 and the 2nd concession will be closed for several hours for a collision reconstruction investigation.

Please be advised that Hwy 27 between Hwy 9 and the 2nd concession is closed for a serious motor vehicle collision involving a car and dump truck.
