Hit-and-run victim airlifted to Toronto trauma centre: police

The victim of Tuesday morning’s hit-and-run in north-end Barrie was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre in serious condition, according to city police.

Barrie police communications co-ordinator Jennett Mays said there were no further updates.

Police received the call at approximately 7 a.m. on Nov. 19 from the scene at the entrance to the Bayfield Mall, from Coulter Street.

Mays said it doesn’t appear the vehicle remained on scene.

The investigation is ongoing
