INNISFIL - On June 4, 2018 around 11:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of a serious collision on 10th Sideroad south of 6th Line in Innisfil.
Preliminary investigation suggests that a vehicle was travelling northbound on 10th Sideroad when it struck a southbound waste disposal truck.
The vehicle came to rest in a driveway and the truck wound up in the ditch.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
The driver of the truck was treated on scene by paramedics but was not transported to hospital.
The road was re-opened at 11 p.m and the investigation is continuing.
