Jeep stolen last night from Bayfield St. parking lot

Barrie police say green 2022 Jeep JJD, with Ontario licence plate PB1O37, was taken sometime between 10:15 p.m. and midnight

Barrie police are investigating after a Jeep was stolen from a Bayfield Street parking lot late last night.

City police say the theft was reported shortly after midnight on Sept. 19 and occurred at 366 Bayfield St., near Cundles Road. 

From the investigation that followed, police say the green 2022 Jeep JJD, with Ontario licence plate PB1O37, was taken sometime between 10:15 p.m. and midnight.

"Although no immediate surveillance video was available to assist in identifying the person(s) responsible, police will be returning to the area and approaching nearby businesses to determine if they have video that may assist with the ongoing investigation," states a news release.

Anyone who sees the vehicle parked or being driven is asked to contact police immediately

Police say the Jeep does not have any known distinguishing marks or damage.
