Police say thieves smashed store's door to gain entry; trio fled in white pickup

NEW TECUMSETH — Thousands of dollars worth of vape products were stolen during a morning break-in at an Alliston business on Monday. 

Shortly before 7 a.m. on Jan. 13, Nottawasaga OPP says officers were dispatched to a break-and-enter that had occurred earlier that morning at Victoria Mart, located at 202 Victoria St. E.

The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Police say the preliminary investigation revealed that shortly before 5 a.m., three unknown suspects, believed to be white males and wearing all black clothes, approached the vape store and smashed the door to make entry inside.

Two of the suspects entered the store and stole approximately $10,000 worth of vape products, while the third suspect waited in a get away vehicle described as a white pickup truck, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.

Area residents are being asked to review their camera footage or dash cameras for any suspicious activity that may be helpful in this investigation between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13.
