Nopise complaint, impaired charges, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the South Simcoe Police Service:

On Saturday, March 24, 2018 around 7:30 a.m., a citizen called South Simcoe Police Service regarding a vehicle parked on the street playing loud music. Upon arrival, police saw a woman and two men walking away from the parked vehicle.

The officer approached the three people and during conversation he suspected they had been drinking. After previously receiving information that the driver was a female, the officer requested an Approved Screening Device. As a result, a 31-year-old Etobicoke woman was arrested for impaired driving and over 80 mg.

Her driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.

From Saturday, March 24 to Monday, March 26, 2018 South Simcoe Police Service responded to 176 calls for service.
