Festive RIDE Results from Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 to Monday, Dec. 17, 2018
Impaired Driving/Over 80
BRADFORD, ON - On Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 around 8:40 p.m., police received a report regarding a possible impaired driver at a grocery store parking lot on Melbourne Dr. in Bradford.
An officer arrived and located the suspect vehicle. A man was observed exiting the store and driving off. The officer subsequently pulled over the vehicle and detected an odour of alcohol. The man was arrested for Impaired Driving and transported to South Division for further testing. As a result a 70-year-old Bradford man was charged with Over 80 and Impaired Driving.

INNISFIL, ON - On Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 around 4 p.m., police received a call about a possible impaired driver on Yonge St. and the 14th Line of Innisfil. Officers conducted a traffic stop at Harbour St. and Killarney Beach Rd. and an odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment were detected. The female driver was placed under arrest and transported her to North Division. Further testing resulted in additional charges. A 36-year-old Innisfil woman is charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80.

INNISFIL, ON - On Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, around 2:00 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were conducting a RIDE program at Highway 89 and Highway 400 in Innisfil. While speaking with a female driver at the check point, an officer detected an odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment. As a result of a roadside breath test, the woman was arrested for Over 80 mgs. She was transported to North Division where further testing resulted in additional charges. A 23-year-old Alliston woman is charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 and Novice Driver Blood Alcohol Concentration Above Zero.
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle/Impaired Driving/Over 80
INNISFIL, ON - On Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 at 12:15 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed near the intersection of Holland St. at Yonge St. in Bradford. Speed measurements were obtained of 95 km/h in the posted 50 km/h zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and detected signs of impairment and an odour of alcohol. The male driver was arrested for Dangerous Operation Driving and Impaired Driving. He was transported to South Division where further testing resulted in the additional charge of Over 80. Charged is a 29-year-old Waterloo man.

INNISFIL, ON - On Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 at 1:41 a.m., a citizen called 911 to report a possible impaired driver in the area of Sideroad 10 and Innisfil Beach Rd. in Innisfil. An officer arrived and conducted a traffic stop. After observing signs of impairment, the officer conducted a roadside breath test. As a result, the female driver was arrested for Over 80 and Impaired Driving. She was transported to North Division where further testing was conducted and resulted in the following charges. A 41-year-old Innisfil woman is charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80.

INNISFIL, ON - On Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, police were conducting a RIDE program at Catania Ave. and Simcoe Rd. in Bradford. Officers detected
an odour of alcohol after speaking with the driver of a vehicle at the check point. After conducting a roadside breath test, the driver was arrested for Over 80 mgs and transported to South Division. After further testing, the 24-year-old Bradford man was charged with Over 80.
